CropVision Satellite Mapping System

March 15, 2025 Eng. David Borrego Jr.

CropVision integrates high-resolution satellite imagery with artificial intelligence algorithms to identify areas of water deficit, incipient pests, and nutritional deficiencies. The system generates prescription maps that are exported directly to variable-rate fertilization machinery. Ideal for fields over 500 hectares, it reduces input consumption by up to 18% and improves crop uniformity. It includes a web dashboard with customizable alerts and downloadable reports.

Multispectral images are captured every 48 hours, enabling real-time monitoring of crop status. Prescription maps can be loaded onto any equipment compatible with ISO 11783, facilitating variable-rate application of fertilizers and pesticides. The system also alerts on anomalous changes in vegetation, helping to detect problems before they affect final yield.

For producers managing large areas, CropVision offers a comprehensive view of the field without the need to physically traverse it. The web platform allows comparing previous campaigns, viewing NDVI and NDRE indices, and generating automatic reports for decision-making. Technical support includes remote training and periodic software updates.

Results that speak in the field

Producers from all over Argentina share how technology transformed their daily management.

Maximiliano Gutiérrez

Producer in Córdoba · 1200 ha

“With CropVision we detected a water stress hotspot in lot 7 in time. We adjusted irrigation and saved 40 hectares of corn. The prescription map was integrated directly into the harvester monitor.”

Production Manager · Buenos Aires

“TerraManager unified campaign planning, input control, and traceability for us. We used to use three different spreadsheets. Now everything is on a single platform and reports are generated in minutes.”

integrated management

Laura Iglesias

Agronomist Engineer · Santa Fe

“We installed PrecisionDrive on two sprayers at the cooperative. Fertilizer savings were 20% in the first season and crop uniformity improved significantly. On-site training was key.”

Esteban Roldán

Field Manager · Santiago del Estero

“The CropVision dashboard alerted us to an incipient pest in soybeans when it was still not visible to the naked eye. We applied only in the affected areas and avoided a blanket treatment.”

satellite monitoring

María Fernanda López

Technical Director · Mendoza

“TerraManager allowed us to certify grape traceability for export. The records module meets European buyer requirements and we reduced audit time from three days to half a day.”

integrated management

Héctor Molina

Rural Contractor · Chaco

“I installed PrecisionDrive on my 15-year-old tractor. Now I have variable rate application without changing machines. Herbicide savings were 18% and overlap was reduced to almost zero.”
